Founded in 1922, State Farm is, according to the Wikipedia encyclopedia, the largest property, casualty, and auto insurance provider in the United States. State Farm is said to be ranked 39th or 42nd in the 2024 Fortune 500, which lists American companies by revenue.
The encyclopedia says that Michael L. Tipsord is the Chairman, and Jon Farney is the President & CEO (Chief Executive Officer) there.
Mr. Tipsord was born around June 20, 1959, and raised in Illinois. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. degree in 1981 from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, and magna cum laude with a J.D. degree in 1984 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Tipsord replaced Edward B. Rust Jr. as chairman on September 1, 2015.
Mr. Jon Farney received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois State University, Normal, and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
